Not too costly

BioWare has announced that its upcoming role playing game Dragon Age: Origins will be getting, as usual nowadays, a Collector's Edition set to offer interested gamers quite a bit of extra content and some pretty cool behind the scenes features.

If you plan to pick up the Xbox 360 version of the Collector's Edition, then be ready to shell out 74.99 dollars, while the PC equivalent will be at retail for just 64.99 dollars. Dragon Age: Origins is set to be released on October 20 and the regular edition will be available alongside the Collector's Edition on shelves.

Those picking up the new package will find all of the new stuff enclosed in a stylish tin case and a bonus DVD featuring a documentary displaying how the game was created back at BioWare, the whole soundtrack, all of the released trailers, wallpapers, a video showing off the concept art for Dragon Age: Origins and a lot of strategy tips that should help players unfamiliar with the game. The package also includes a cloth map of the in-game world and, of course, the game disk.

Apart from the physical add-ons players will also receive some in game stuff. There are three items which can help the player, Bergens Honor, Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes and the Final Reason and players of the Collector's Edition also get to play a new unlockable quest, called “The Stone Prisoner” and a new character, Shale.

More interesting is the fact that BioWare is doing a bit of cross game promotion, saying that those who get the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age: Origins will also receive an exclusive in-game item for the upcoming Mass Effect 2, the space-based role playing game that BioWare is set to release later in the year.
