Dr. Conrad Murray was Michael Jackson’s personal doctor and the person who was with him when the paramedics were summoned to his house because he had been found unresponsive. Murray is also the one believed to have administered Jackson with Propofol, the powerful and illegal outside of a hospital anesthetic, which is why he’s the primary suspect in the ongoing LAPD investigation. Still, some of his patients say it’s all a big, racial issue, as TMZ can confirm.

In a bid to clear at least part of his much-soiled image, Dr. Murray released a video of himself, thanking all those who have supported him so far and explaining why he has not been able to return their phone calls and messages. In the same video, given to the media by the publicist of Murray’s attorney’s, the doctor also stresses that he has been cooperative with the police, by delivering them only the truth – and this must account for something in the long run, as the truth will eventually prevail and prove his innocence, he believes.

According to TMZ, the video (which you can see here) is not the only means by which Murray is trying to buy his way back into the good graces of the media, as the aforementioned e-zine puts it. On his personal website, Murray also listed the names and contacts of 14 of his patients, including testimonies from them as to how good a person he is.

One of them actually claims the accusations and Murray being black are connected, as they show that the homicide allegations are of a racial nature. Another one adds that Michael Jackson’s mother is putting up a façade: had she truly been worried about the singer, she would have intervened before he died.

“If Murray wasn’t black, none of this would be happening. It’s the media hype to show that black folks are still the minority.” Rev. Floyd Williams writes, as cited by TMZ. “If Katherine [Jackson] is that concerned she should have stopped all of the painkillers [Michael] was taking before. I would have tried to get him on a better road. [Dr. Murray] would leave Las Vegas and come take care of me in my home [in Houston], and pay me visits, and give me checkups. I don’t believe that Murray would have given or prescribed MJ anything he didn’t ask for.” Eliza Robertson shares about her experience as Murray’s patient.

Although the police are yet to offer official details on the ongoing investigation, they have confirmed that they are looking into Dr. Murray as the primary homicide suspect, given existent evidence that he may have supplied Michael Jackson with the anesthetic Propofol.
