Weynand Training has announced a new series of applications for the iPhone and iPod touch. According to the entertainment training company, iKeysToGo is a personal shortcut assistant offering keyboard shortcuts, a complete list of an application's commands and definitions, making it an effective learning tool for users of all levels.

iKeysToGo for Apple's Final Cut Pro 7 is the first app in the iKeysToGo series, with iKeysToGo for Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office following soon, Weynand Training says. Developed by Diana Weynand of Weynand Training International, (described as a gold-level, Apple-authorized, L.A.-based training center), iKeysToGo for Final Cut Pro 7 can speed editors' knowledge in five ways, the official report reveals. 1 – With over 840 commands and definitions in the palm of their hand, editors can use iKeysToGo to continue learning more about the editing application, even when they're on the go. 2 – On launch, the editor can scroll through 840 Final Cut Pro shortcuts alphabetically and view their shortcuts. 3 – To search for a keyboard shortcut of a specific command, an editor simply enters the command name or topic. Touching it displays the details page with the command's shortcut and definition. 4 – An editor can search by any FCP 7 Menu (such as File, Edit, View) and also by Groups (such as Audio, Marking, Importing). 5 – When editors find commands they want to use in their next edit session, they simply tag the commands to add them to their Favorites list.

“In Final Cut there are hundreds of keyboard shortcuts, yet the average user generally only uses a handful,” Weynand adds. “With this application, editors can learn more about Final Cut Pro's endless possibilities and become faster by learning new shortcuts.”

Touted as a must-have reference and learning tool for any Final Cut Pro user, iKeysToGo: Final Cut Pro 7 promises to be a great learning tool for teachers, students and professionals as well. Using the link below, readers can download the $2.99 app.
