The USA Today application for iPad has been updated to include Tech and Travel, as well as support for multitasking, and stability improvements according to the release notes included in the app’s iTunes description.

USA Today for iPad now includes Tech and Travel, the American publication has announced.

Tech features include USA TODAY's tech coverage; App Insider - frequent iPad app reviews; TechWatch - a video player which features Talking Tech reviews with Ed Baig and Jefferson Graham and other gadget, gaming and industry news; and  Week in Space photo galleries.

For Travel fans, version 2.0 of the iPad app includes USA TODAY's travel coverage; Airport Delays - a look at nationwide airport delays by map or by list, with the list giving specific delay information pertinent to each airport; and Week in Travel photo galleries.

In addition to this flagship V. 2.0 enhancement, USA Today for iPad also includes multitasking support now.

The update makes a few tweaks to improve the stability of the app by removing a few bugs, the developers said.

“The nation's news updated 24/7 on your iPad. Staying informed has never been this quick, easy or enjoyable,” reads the app’s description.

“We're committed to providing you with the best experience possible,” said USA Today officials.

USA Today app users can read stories from the mag’s News, Money, Sports, Life (and now) Tech and Travel sections.

Users can enlarge images, watch related videos, and share stories via email, Twitter or Facebook.

Stories can be downloaded for offline reading, complete with imagery.

The app also allows users to check the market numbers by index and create a 'My Stocks' list (a personalized list that will keep you updated on how your stocks are performing), and features USA TODAY's popular crossword puzzles.

Those who were experiencing a crash on launch are now encouraged to uninstall and reinstall the latest version.

For any questions or issues, customers can contact the app’s support crew.
