Tipard has released Blu-ray Converter for Mac, a versatile Mac Blu-ray ripper that can effectively remove various DRM protections from Blu-ray discs, allowing Mac users to fully enjoy watching Blu-ray movies without any limitations.

The solution acts simply by ripping the disc and providing conversion methods. Supported devices not only include Macs, but iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch too.

The software boasts powerful video editing functions too, allowing users to adjust brightness, saturation, contrast, hue and the volume for the output video.

You can trim or crop any source video, even add text or image watermark to videos. Tipard mentions the following key features for its new Blu-Ray ripper:

· Rip any Blu-ray, DVD or video file to video and audio formats on Mac; · Edit any source file to get personalized and interesting video effect; · Superior encoding and decoding performance gives you fast converting speed; · Support 5.1 track and No Audio output, and allow you to adjust output volume; · Support cue file and various popular devices profile for you to choose.

Tipard Blu-ray Converter calls for any decent running Mac with at least 512 megabytes of RAM, Super VGA (800×600) resolution, 16-bit graphics card or higher, and (hear this) Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.

There are not many solutions like this still supporting Apple’s aging Tiger operating system, so for those who are planning to enjoy some movies on their Tiger machine, perhaps this offer is worth looking into.

Moreover, Tipard doesn’t say whether or not their Blu-ray converter needs and Intel processor, so we’re left to believe that even PowerPC users are supported.

Price is also of the essence, and Tipard charges $50 for its Mac Blu-ray Converter.

Whether or not that’s expensive, considering there are alternatives to the Blu-ray format itself, you decide.

Luckily there’s a trial version you can try out, so you can decide before you buy.
