Development studio syncRage has released a cool, new puzzle game for iPhone and iPod touch owners. Recently approved in the iTunes App Store, Sorty is a match-em style puzzle game that requires an iPhone or iPod touch and version 2.2.1 Software Update.

“Do you love puzzle games or have you got fast fingers? Then rush into a game that will make a score-hunter out of you and – we promise – give you tunnel vision,” syncRage says.

“Let your fingertip glow and drag all the colored balls over the bar of the same color – getting rid of them and providing more space for new balls. To get more points, easily connect neighboring balls of the same color by dragging over them. Following the principle of ‘endless gaming,’ the challenge always gets bigger, because new balls come in faster,” the company describes its iPhone game.

But that’s not all. Players can go against each other using their social network (e.g. Facebook) or email contacts via the integrated scoreloop module. The service also saves players’ best scores into a global highscore list, where they can compare their skills with other players. For a list of Sorty’s key attractions, scroll through the features below.

- really intuitive gameplay using the touch-screen for input; - extreme action-driven, fun-to-play game; - two difficulty modes; - special balls, which double earned points temporarily; - bombs, which clear the playing field; - dynamic increase of difficulty during gameplay; - highscore list; - tutorial; - global highscore list (scoreloop); - challenge other gamers or friends (scoreloop).

As noted above, Sorty is free of charge for a short period of time. Generally, apps that are provided for free upon their release are also updated for free in the future, if you manage to snag them before the promotion ends.
