14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is gearing up to release SQL Server 2012 in the first half of 2012, and it is already providing developers with resources designed to help them build upon the next-generation data platform.
The SQL Server 2012 Developer Training Kit is now available for download from the Redmond company, free of charge.
[ADMARK=]All that early adopters need to do is head over to the Microsoft Download Center and grab the Training Kit, accessing a range of technical content which will help them develop SQL Server 2012 database and business intelligence (BI) projects.
Among the training resources offered for SQL Server 2012, devs will be able to find labs, demos as well as presentations designed to help streamline their upcoming work.
Microsoft Partner N.Raja provided additional details about just what the software giant managed to pack into the SQL Server 2012 Developer Training Kit:
“Demo: A First Look at SQL Server Developer Tools Codename "Juneau" - SSDT is a new Visual Studio based IDE for developing SQL Server and SQL Azure database solutions.
Lab: Build Your First Web Application with SQL Server 2012 and ASP.NET - This lab is ideal for web developers who are new to SQL Server, and guides you through the basics of coding CRUD operations and image retrieval with ASP.NET.
Lab: Exploring Transact-SQL Improvements in SQL Server 2012 - SQL Server 2012 offers several new Transact-SQL programmability improvements that will make developers lives much easier, including new support for results paging, sequence generators and better error handling.
Lab: Managing Rich Unstructured Data in SQL Server 2012 - SQL Server 2012 includes breakthrough innovations for developers building content management applications.”
The Download Center offers the Web Installer Preview for the kit, and the promise from Microsoft is that this collection of resources will grow over time with the addition of new content.
