Leading mobile software developer SPB Software has announced today the launch of SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 for Windows Mobile, with great personalization and customization capabilities. Moreover, the company also states that the new SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 comes with additional widgets that offer support for social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, as well as enhanced Internet searching and more.

The new release comes with increased flexibility in personalization and customization, providing SPB Software partners with the possibility to build their styles faster, and enabling this way both reduced time-to-market and much lower commercial risks. At the same time, SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 has been specifically designed to work great with the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system from Microsoft, the company stated.

“This version clearly shows where SPB Software is going,” Sebastian-Justus Schmidt, CEO of SPB Software, says. “We are on the way to make it even more flexible for user personalization, as well as being a great partner for phone manufacturers and mobile operators. The fast changing market needs the right user interface with great flexibility in customization. And we are well prepared for the demand.”

SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 can be used on any touchscreen handset that runs under Windows Mobile, and is compatible with previous versions of the platform as well (WM 5 or higher). The application is already available for purchase, priced at $29.95 on the company's website. A 15 day-trial is also available for download for those who would like to try it out before purchasing the app. SPB Mobile Shell 3.x registered users can upgrade to the new version for free.

The release of SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 for Windows Mobile has been announced in Taipei, Taiwan, at a press event where SPB Software also unveiled the fact that its OEM partner list had been extended with the addition of China's ZTE, Huawei and K-Touch. Moreover, the company also stated that it signed an agreement with MediaTek.
