A new release of Panda Cloud Antivirus is cooking, and early adopters can already download the first testing bits and take the security offering out for a spin. Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.1 hit the Beta development milestone, offering testers a preview of the successor of version 1.0. Of course, the main reason why Panda Security released the Beta Build was to gather feedback on the upcoming release from testers. “We need your collaboration to test the new Beta version of Panda Cloud Antivirus,” Carlos Santa Coloma, Beta Center supervisor Panda Security, revealed.

Early adopters interested in witnessing first-hand the evolution of Panda Cloud Antivirus can grab the Beta for version 1.1 immediately. Coloma provided a list with a few highlights for version 1.1 of Panda Cloud Antivirus. “Your help is very valuable for us, as this will allow us to test the new features of the product like: advanced configuration; behavioural analysis; exclusions of files and folders; USB Vaccine; shield to avoid killing the processes or delete the Panda Cloud Antivirus files; and new behavior of the recycle bin: if you take out a file from the recycle bin, it is possible to undo de action and put it again in,” he stated.

The initial Free Panda Cloud Antivirus Beta was introduced exactly a year ago today. The previous version of the Cloud-based security solution from Panda Security had been in development for the most part of 2009, with the official release coming just weeks after the general availability deadline for Windows 7. Since the November 2009 launch, Panda Software obtained the Windows 7 Compatible logo for its Cloud security offering, and of course that version 1.1 is also designed to play nice with the latest iteration of the Windows client from Microsoft.

“To install it, just double click on the installer downloaded, and follow the steps shown. If you have any problem, comment or suggestion about this Beta version of Panda Cloud Antivirus, please send us an email to beta at pandasecurity.com. We will be more than pleased to try to help you,” Coloma added.
