Nvidia has just released a brand new version of its GeForce GTX driver, taking the software to version 353.06, bringing not only the GameReady performance to Heroes of the Storm but also better framerate figures for The Witcher 3, Far Cry 4, or Project Cars, especially on Kepler-chipset cards like the 700 or 600 series ones.

The Witcher 3 launched last month across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and while the RPG brought some pretty impressive visuals across all the three platforms, it reigned supreme on PCs, specifically on those with Nvidia graphics cards.

On such configurations, coupled with the GameReady driver for The Witcher 3, Nvidia boasted that all customers would have flawless performance and special effects, like HairWorks.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen, especially for those with Nvidia GeForce GTX 600 and 700 series cards that used Kepler chipsets, as they reported bad performance. The graphics card company soon confirmed that it was a problem with its drivers and promised a fix.

The latest GeForce driver 353.06 brings better performance

Now, after a couple of weeks, the new driver version 353.06 is now available for download, bringing better performance on Kepler cards for The Witcher 3, as well as in other titles like Project Cars or Far Cry 4.

"Following end user reports of lower-than-expected performance in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt when using GeForce GTX 600 and 700 Series Kepler GPUs, we have identified and fixed three bugs that were limiting performance not only in The Witcher 3, but also Far Cry 4 and Project Cars. With the new GeForce Game Ready drivers installed, frame rates are increased in each title, improving and optimizing your experience," the company mentions on its website.

Besides this major improvement, the new driver also brings GameReady performance for the final version of Heroes of the Storm on PC, which launches tomorrow, June 2, worldwide.
