The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has finally received the long awaited update 1.05 on the PC platform, via both Steam and GOG services. The new patch brings fixes for a wide array of glitches and errors, including the infamous XP one from main quests. PS4 owners in the U.S. and Europe can download patch 1.04 right now, while the rest of the world and Xbox One users must wait until next week.

The Witcher 3 came out last month and immediately delighted millions of role-playing game fans from all over the world. The title didn't encounter any serious problems across its three platforms – PC, PS4, and Xbox One – but there have been a few pesky glitches that affected some groups of players.

In order to solve these problems, developer CD Projekt Red already released quite a few updates designed to solve errors and improve mechanics, in between the promised free DLC packs.

After pledging last week to release patch 1.05 for the PC on Monday, June 1, the studio was forced to delay its debut as more work was needed.

Patch 1.05 for The Witcher 3 is finally available

Now, in the final hours of the work week, CD Projekt Red has just released patch 1.05 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the PC platform. The update is available for download via both the Steam and GOG services for all owners of the RPG, according to the official forums.

A huge amount of bug fixes are included in it, from solutions to the XP glitch that affected main story quests, to solutions to exploits relating to merchants, groups of respawning enemies, and so on. The actual merchants will also offer better and more varied gear once the patch is installed, and there should be fewer movement problems.

Last but not least, as a quality of life improvement, Geralt can no longer interact with candles placed near chests or other openable objects, so that players don't get frustrated when trying to loot them.

Patch 1.04 is live for PS4 in some regions, out next week on Xbox One

The same list of fixes is also included as part of patch 1.04 for the PS4 and Xbox One. However, the update is only live on the PS4 in Europe and the U.S. regions. The rest of the world and all Xbox One users must wait until next week to download it.
