Sledgehammer Games confirms that its biggest patch yet for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is now available for download across the PS4 and Xbox One platforms, delivering a huge suite of improvements, not to mention balancing tweaks, exploit fixes, spawn modifications, and better anti-cheating systems.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare came out almost one month ago across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, delivering a pretty impressive first-person shooter experience that included a solid single-player story but also a really intense multiplayer mode filled with different game types.

Since then, developer Sledgehammer has made sure that fans are having a great time with the new shooter and has already rolled out a few updates to fix exploits and ensure that the multiplayer mode in particular isn't getting disrupted in any major ways.

The biggest patch yet is now available for Advanced Warfare

Now, Sledgehammer confirms on the official forums that the biggest patch yet is available for download across the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Advanced Warfare. The update includes a myriad of fixes for the game, touching upon all major aspects, from the weapons to the exploits, the bugs, or the multiplayer mechanics.

"We’ve included weapon balancing tweaks, fixes and improvements for emblems, improvements within the Player Lobby (including a new way to view your Armory), map exploit fixes, spawn improvements, connectivity optimizations, improvements to our anti-cheat measures, and even more. Thanks for the community feedback – the dialog and collaboration with fans has helped make this update possible," the studio reveals.

The new patch is set to hit the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game "soon," according to the developer, but unfortunately, no exact time frame has been given, so it's unclear when it might actually happen.

Sledgehammer thanks fans for their support

The studio also takes the time to thank fans for their support and highlights that Advanced Warfare has been enjoying a really smooth launch, especially when most big titles released in the last few months have encountered a myriad of problems, from the online modes to the campaign glitches and much more.

"It’s been exactly one month since we’ve launched Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and it has been an amazing time celebrating with fans. We used this time as an opportunity to focus on the little things that would make a big difference to our community. Since day one, we’ve had consistent online uptime stability and global dedicated server coverage, and we’ve rolled out several important updates to make the game even better," the studio explains.

The latest Advanced Warfare patch is now available for download on the PS4 and Xbox One right now, via their online services. Expect word when the update goes live on other platforms.
