Dota 2 has just received a major update in the form of the Overflowing Compendium patch, designed to add plenty of rewards to all those who own the compendium for The International 4, including a Mini-Pudge courier, weather effects, emoticons, or the live rewind system.

Dota 2 is set to get its fourth major The International event later this month and, like with previous installments, a special compendium digital item can be bought and a part of the proceeds go to the overall prize pool.

The community rushed to support this tournament and over $10 million (€7.3 million) have already been raised.

Besides getting to contribute to The International 4, compendium owners also get different rewards in the form of Immortal treasures and other such things.

Thanks to the latest update, called Overflowing Compendium, quite a few new rewards have been rolled out for owners of the digital items, according to the official website.

These include fresh styles for the Lieutenant Squawkins courier that are unlocked at certain compendium levels (24 for the green-feathered row boat style and 41 for the red-feathered sail boat style).

What's more, another courier, in the form of Mini-Pudge, has just been rolled out and he also has different styles.

"With this update, if you own or purchase a Compendium, you will receive your very own Pudgling, a cute yet still-revolting Mini-Pudge Courier. Not disgusting enough for you? If your Compendium reaches Level 50 then you'll also get his extra smelly alternate style. This upgraded version will also come with a classy golden hook."

Compendium owners will also receive a set of chat emoticons that feature the faces of some of the most popular heroes in Dota 2 and express a wide variety of emotions.

A major new feature for the game is also available in the new update, in the form of weather effects. All compendium owners will see three different effects in their inventory – Snow, Moonlight, and Rain – which can be equipped in their loadout.

Last but not least, all Dota 2 players who watch live matches from inside the game will be able to use the live rewind system to replay a portion of the game that just happened.

The new Dota 2 Overflowing Compendium update is now available for download via Steam and clocks in at 208MB.

You can expect to hear more about the game, as fresh stretch goals for The International 4 and other rewards for compendium owners are expected to be announced soon.
