Floola, the free application designed to manage your iPod and cell phone efficiently, has been updated by its developers to include a fix for recently reported playback issues, as well as new language support. The application is free to download and use on any kind of system (Intel or PowerPC) with Mac OS X 10.3 or later installed.

Supporting commonly used iPod features including artwork, podcasts and smart playlists, Floola works not only on Macs, but also on any Windows (98 and above), and any Linux distribution with GTK installed. It's portable, so you can put the application on your iPod and launch it on any computer, whenever you want. It can handle most features typical to an iPod, including photos, artwork, podcasts and smart playlists. Floola automatically converts any incompatible audio or video file so that you can copy almost any file to it and, as long as your device supports Apple's iTunes, you can use Floola to manage the content of your iPhone or Motorola phone with ease.

Users needn’t install the standalone application, as it can be run directly from their iPod under Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows. By just entering the page URL, Floola can add YouTube or MySpace content to a device, acting as a duplicate finder. Speaking of which, if you have any duplicate songs, Floola can find them for you. Other cool features include: lyric support (even on older iPods); search for duplicates or lost files; add artwork to your songs easily; add videos; add photos; convert audio and video incompatible formats; export to HTML; fix a failed software update; manage notes and growl support.

However, the application unfortunately does not support iPhone, iPod touch and the latest iPod shuffle models. Users can have the software translated in whatever language they wish by visiting Floola's community forum. Learn more here.
