Dropbox, Evenflow's cross-platform file sharing and backup solution, has been updated to version 0.6.507, adding improvements on startup time and minor stability enhancements. The software is available in two forms: a free version, offering two gigs of space to use as you wish, and a paid version ($9.99 per month, or $99 per year), for 50GB of storage.

The changelog for Dropbox 0.6.507 reveals that developer Evenflow has been able to find a workaround for buggy Mac OS X kernel that would cause missing of file events, related to hard links. A new b&w tray icon has also been added in the Mac OS X version of Dropbox, alongside several bug fixes. Lastly, improvements have been made with the app's startup loading times.

Touting Dropbox as being the easiest way to share and store your files online, Evenflow mentions the following key features:

- No complicated interface to learn. Dropbox runs in the background on your desktop - Sync your files automatically to your computers and the web - Sign in and access your files from any browser or mobile device - Sharing files with your friends and family is just two clicks away - View your photos in a gallery and share them easily with anyone

Once installed, any item you drop into your Dropbox folder will synchronize and be available on all the systems you have the utility installed on, as well as on the web interface. Any changes you make to files in your Dropbox will instantly sync to your other devices.

Dropbox is cross-platform, meaning it works on PC and Mac. This way, you can install the software on both systems, feed Dropbox some files on one computer, and see them synced on the other one. Those files are instantly available to view, edit or do whatever you need to do with them. If you delete a file on a computer, the changes are reflected on the other. This works with more than just two machines. You can have Dropbox working for you on as many systems as you wish, including your iPhone.
