14 DAY TRIAL // We have recently seen the arrival of the newest GeForce driver, released for consumer graphics cards, the one that supposedly makes Skyrim run 45% better. Now we are witnessing the completion and release of the latest Quadro/Tesla software.
The Santa Clara, California-based company finished the WHQL version of the 295.73 Quadro/Tesla driver.
DirectX 11 may have been supported by previous driver versions, but OpenGL 4.2 (on Quadro cards and higher) and CUDA 4.1 were not.
Speaking of new features, professionals will get to enjoy support for the Open Computing Language (OpenCL) 1.1 in Quadro FX Series x700 and newer boards, as well as the FX4600 and FX5600.
Additionally, the ODE drivers have reached their second “Optimal Drivers for Enterprise” release (dedicated to long-term stability to Enterprise customers, OEMs and ISV certification).
Furthermore, NVIDIA Mosaic provides support for 8-display topologies, even when the individual panels have higher resolutions than normal (2,560 x 1,600 pixels).
Some additions have been made via the NVIDIA WMI 2.4 technology as well.

Not only that, but the Manage 3D Settings page on the NVIDIA Control Panel now also has a preference tab (users can control the application profile notification feature). Even when launching a windowed 3D program, a popup will appear to notify the user which workstation application profile was applied.
Other relevant features are GPUDirect for Video support and 256GB Virtual Space (good for OpenGL and CUDA applications).
