Since NVIDIA is about to formally launch a new and mighty graphics card, it has a fresh driver version available for download as well, the GeForce 301.10 WHQL version.

Unlike previous releases of the GeForce graphics driver, this package has the GTX 680 as the sole entry on the “supported products” section.

As people have probably guessed by now, the software grants computers support for all the new technologies that Kepler has to offer.

NVIDIA has already leaked the promotional video of the card, so go here to watch it before or after you read through all the new perks.

The NVIDIA FXAA technology is one of the new features, a shader-based anti-aliasing tech that brings 4x multi-sample anti-aliasing (MSAA) quality while working 60% faster.

A second feature is Adaptive Vertical Sync, for smoother gaming through dynamic adjustment of vertical sync based on frame rates.

Moving on, the driver mentions NVIDIA Frame Rate target, which dynamically adjusts frame rate to match a target number specified by the user.

Furthermore, even 3D Vision Surround has received an upgrade: a single GeForce GTX 680 can handle three displays, four even, if one wants to have an extra panel for e-mails and such, while the other three show the game.

Previously, NVIDIA cards couldn't deliver video to more than two monitors at once, requiring a second board in SLI for triple-display gaming.

The final great asset is the GPU Boost Technology, which dynamically increases the clock speed of the GPU when workload demands it, assuming the board is operating below the maximum TDP.

In addition to all the above, the Santa Clara, California-based company took the time to implement support for a new hardware-based H.264 video encoder, which permits 4x faster encoding on less power.

Alas, we were only able to find driver packages for Windows Vista and Windows 7. Make sure you get the correct version.
