Support for new games and new PhysX version

Santa Clara, California-based NVIDIA, one of the world's leading vendors of high-performance graphics cards and graphics chip solutions, has just updated the driver support page for its line of GeForce graphics solutions. The new release will enable support for users of the company's GeForce cards, providing them with new features, bug fixes and support for a series of new gaming titles. In addition, according to the release notes, the outfit also added a new PhysX version, providing gaming enthusiasts with a more life-like experience.

The new release is WHQL-certified and includes support for the latest GeForce products, including the company's Ion series, 6, 7, 8, 9, 100 and 200-series. The GeForce 196.21 WHQL-series of drivers also adds support for SLI and multi-GPU setups for a number of new gaming titles, including Avatar Demo, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, City Bus Simulator, Dirt 2, Ferrari Virtual Race, GREED: Black Border, Mass Effect 2, Mortal Online, Ninja Blade, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Demo, Planet 51, RUSE, Serious Sam HD, and Wings of Prey.

Additionally, the new release includes the PhysX System Software version 9.09.1112, further enhancing gaming experience for GeForce users. As with all new GeForce driver releases, the new version will include a series of bug fixes designed to optimize the user's experience on the GeForce card, depending on application. The release doesn't mention support for any new graphics card, other then the ones that are available on the market. However, it's a known fact that NVIDIA is gearing up for the launch of its next-generation of GeForce cards, due out sometime in March. By that time, a new driver should emerge.
