Mac OS X 10.6.7 build 10J868 is immediately available for download to select members of Apple’s developer connection, weighing in at 467MB for the delta update and roughly 1GB in size for the combo update.

Individuals that have already downloaded and played around with the build say that it’s stable, with their main focus remaining Safari, the Mac App Store, AirPort, Bonjour, SMB, and Graphics Drivers.

Notably, the seed notes for build 10J868 say there are no known issues. This new beta supersedes many others with nearly identical focus areas and found bugs.

Unlike previous developer reports leaking details on Apple’s latest Mac OS X seeds, a list of resolved bugs with the software is not provided.

An estimated launch date of Mac OS X 10.6.7 doesn’t even exist, though it is reasonable to assume that it won’t be long before Mac users see it appear in their software updaters.

Believed to be the final incremental update to Snow Leopard before the official summer debut of Lion, Mac OS X 10.6.7 is tasked with ironing out any last flaws that made the OS unstable, or prone to crashes and hang ups.

In a recent iTunes update, Apple plugged as many as 50 holes affecting WebKit, the page layout engine shared by the media playing app and the Safari web browser.

Soon after, it was reported that Apple would issue a Safari update to beat the Pwn2Own contest kick-off later this month.

At Pwn2Own, hackers will attempt to compromise four web browsers including Apple’s own in order to win prize money as well as the actual machine the hacking took place on.

It is likely that Mac OS X 10.6.7 (as well as a new Apple security update) will emerge packing the necessary patches ahead of  March 16, when TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative will give the green light to security researchers at this year’s Pwn2Own edition.

Developers enrolled with Apple's $99-a-year program can access the new Mac OS X 10.6.7 build through the company's Mac Dev Center here.
