Adobe has recently updated Flash to version 10.3.181.26 which brings a few nifty enhancements, including Acoustic Echo Cancellation, Auto-Update notification for Mac OS, and more - all making their way inside Chrome 12.0.742.100 Stable, whose code has been altered to include the new Flash version.

Available for all supported platforms - Mac, Windows, and Linux - Chrome 12.0.742.100 is the latest version of Google’s most stable build of the popular open source web browser.

“The Chrome Stable and Beta channels have been updated to 12.0.742.100 for all platforms,” reads a blog post signed Jason Kersey, Google Chrome Program Manager. “This release contains an updated version of Adobe Flash,” he confirms.

Specifically, Kersey is talking about Flash Player 10.3.181.26, the newest release from Adobe.

This update not only delivers Media Measurement, Acoustic Echo Cancellation, and integration with browser privacy controls for managing local storage, but also delivers a Native Control Panel and Auto-Update notification for Mac OS X users.

Chrome 12 Stable now gains all these features, give or take a few bug fixes that aren’t documented in Kersey’s blog post, but may be mentioned in the SVN revision log for all Chrome releases.

As noted by Softpedia earlier this week, users can expect Chrome development to advance with Chrome 13 Beta and Chrome 14 Dev relatively soon.

Rapid successive releases of Chrome 13 builds indicate the Dev channel is moving steadily towards beta, leaving only a brand new version of Chrome to take its place once it’s promoted.

In this respect, Chrome Beta will finally be able to advance to version 13, where it rightfully belongs.

The latest Dev update contains a number of stability fixes, and puts hardware accelerated Canvas 2D back behind a flag.

All versions of Chrome - Stable, Beta, Dev - for Mac are immediately accessible for Softpedia readers via the links below. Users need an Intel-based computer to run the browser.
