Google has released new versions of its open source web browser for all supported platforms, including Macintosh computers.

The Stable channel, now at version 11.0.696.65, offers a new build of Chrome which incorporates several code corrections for a number of bugs recently reported by users.

An error causing bookmark bar to display improperly with existing bookmarks after deleting bookmarks on the Bookmark managers has been addressed, according to Karen Grunberg, of the Chrome development team

The About Google Chrome window showed unknown channel for version 11.0.696.57. This error has also been addressed.

For Mac users, there’s a specific fix where the browser seemed to clobber focus when uploading attachments to Gmail with the flash-based uploader. An updated version of Flash Player 10.2 has been set in place, further stabilizing the application.

In addition to the Stable release, a new Developer build of Google Chrome is also available for download today.

For Chrome 12.0.742.30 Mac there are no documented bug fixes or tweaks of any kind, except for the updated version of Flash.

Users can find additional details on both releases by visiting the SVN revision logs.

As usual, the bug reporter awaits those who take pleasure in discovering bugs and submitting them to the software engineering team at Google.

Earlier this week, Chrome Canary made its debut on the Mac with alpha-grade features and unreliable functionality.

The trade here is getting an early glimpse at features that are still in testing phase but might just make it inside more stable builds of the browser, like Dev and Beta.

Google Chrome requires Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later to run on Macintosh computers.

Additionally, users must pack at least 128MB of RAM and around 100MB of free space to install the software.
