Google has started pushing the third update to Chrome 13.0 through the Dev Channel the past weekend. Chrome 13.0.782.10 Dev can be grabbed by early adopters and the developers looking to test the enhancements in the first iteration after the next version of the open source browser, v12.0.

Build 13.0.782.10 is the second Dev Channel refresh that Google released over the weekend. The first was 13.0.782.4, but this particular update was offered only to Mac OS X testers, and designed to fix a regression bug which caused the browser to crash when being launched.

By comparison, Chrome 13.0.782.10 Dev is available for download to all early adopters, on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, per the traditional release model for Google’s open source browser.

According to the Mountain View-based search giant, Chrome 13.0.782.10 Dev is designed to bring to the table an updated version of Adobe Flash.

As users undoubtedly know by now, Google worked with Adobe in order to have the Flash plug-in integrated intimately into Chrome. This is why whenever Adobe updates Flash, a Chrome refresh follows to make sure that customers running the open source browser from Google are up to date.

In addition to Chrome 13.0.782.10 Dev, Google also updated the Stable and Beta Channels of Chrome over the past weekend.

End users leveraging Chrome have been updated to version 11.0.696.77. At the same time, Beta testers received Chrome 12.0.742.82.

As was the case with Chrome 13.0.782.10 Dev, both the Beta and the Stable releases of the browser do not introduce new features, or any additional changes beyond a plug-in refresh.

Chrome 12.0.742.82 Beta and Chrome 11.0.696.77 Stable both feature the latest version of Adobe Flash, since the two releases, just as Chrome 13.0.782.10 Dev, also integrate the plug-in by default.

As it is usually the case, all Chrome updates are automatically pushed and installed for users.
