Updated to version 13.0.782.1, Google Chrome Dev brings a number of enhancements for users of all supported platforms, including Macintosh computers.

As usual, Google’s Anthony Laforge is eager to communicate via the Google Chrome Releases blog that “The Dev channel has been updated to 13.0.782.1 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame.”

Spanning changes that affect all supported platforms in the same manner, the new Chrome Developer build delivers print preview refinements, IndexedDB+LevelDB made available in about:flags, and a relocated Canvas 2D out from behind a flag. This feature was on by default, according to the release notes.

Laforge encourages testers to pay a visit to the SVN revision log for more details on the additional changes featured in Chrome 13.0.782.1 Dev.

Users who already have bugs to report are just as advised to pick up on the bug reporter and let Google know where the fire is.

The most recent update was delivered a full week back, and while some may be inclined to believe Chrome development is moving at a slower pace, we can assure you it is not.

Undoubtedly, now that Memorial Day has come and gone, we can expect the same rapid succession of Dev and Beta updates from Mountain View.

Speaking of Beta, those who wish to employ the more stable Chrome 12 branch now have a version that contains a small number of UI updates and performance fixes, according to Jason Kersey who also blogs for Google.

The man revealed last week that Chrome 12.0.742.68 Beta was immediately available for download onto Mac, Windows, and Linux computers.

But there’s always the group of users who prefer risk-free web browsing, which is why there’s always a Stable build of Chrome up for grabs.

Chrome 11.0.696.71 is the latest such version from Google. Building on top of the enhancements delivered in the final version of Chrome 10, Chrome 11 incorporates the usual bag of security fixes, as well as code corrections for a number of bugs.
