On the same day that Microsoft announced the first Platform Preview of Internet Explorer 10, Google released two new Builds of its own browser. Testers have their veritable pick of the litter when it comes down to early development milestones of next generation browsers.

Both the Dev and Beta Chrome channels have been updated with fresh releases now available for download to early adopters.

Microsoft too is serving a very early development release of IE9’s successor, namely IE10 PP1, a Build designed to let web developers test the evolution of IE’s platform, especially around modern web standards support.

At the same time, the Mountain View-based search giant provided testers with Chrome 11.0.696.43 Beta. As it’s usually the case, the Beta channel was refreshed with the new Build for all supported platforms.

Testers should not expect any changes from the previous Beta release, but they should look forward to an enhanced user experience.

According to Google, a variety of bug fixes have been introduced with the advent of Chrome 11.0.696.43 Beta.

Specifically, early adopters will be able to notice improved reliability around passwords synchronization, autofill, Silverlight 3 metadata, blocked plug-ins, Chrome Helper, etc.

Of course, most importantly, Chrome 11.0.696.43 Beta should crash a lot less than its predecessor, since the Mountain View-based company dealt with issues that caused the browser to misbehave.

Along with Chrome 11.0.696.43 Beta, early adopters can also test Chrome 12.0.733.0 Dev, which is also available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

As is the case with the Beta, this Dev refresh is focused mainly on improving the stability of the open source browser.

In addition, Google reveals that it also managed to introduce a few UI tweaks, although the facelift for Chrome 12.0.733.0 Dev is bound to be minor at best.
