Google is informing that new versions of its open-source web browser are available for download from the Stable and Beta channels for all platforms, including Mac OS X. A single incremental release is mentioned - Chrome 10.0.648.13 in both Beta and Stable form.

Jason Kersey, of the Chrome development team, informs via the Google Chrome Releases blog that “The Chrome Stable and Beta channels have been updated to 10.0.648.133 for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome Frame.”

According to Kersey, this release fixes a single security issue

"High Memory corruption in style handling. Credit to Vincenzo Iozzo, Ralf Philipp Weinmann and Willem Pinckaers reported through ZDI."

As usual, those looking to find more information on the fixed bugs are encouraged to visit the Chromium security page. “Note that the referenced bugs may be kept private until a majority of our users are up to date with the fix,” Kersey writes.

As for those who find new issues with the browser, they are advised to file a bug at http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/entry.

Chrome 10 reached Stable (Final) status last week, when Google launched a version featuring a newly updated V8 engine (‘Crankshaft’) which “greatly improves javascript performance,” according to Chrome developers.

The Dev channel remains at version 11.0.696.3 for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

Soon to reach Beta Status, Chrome 11 currently focuses on correcting the inability to select omnibox auto suggested entries by clicking it, Chromium not loading some plugins, and a Linux error where "Behavior" string is not externalized on the Exceptions page.

Google Chrome for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and an Intel-based Mac.
