14 DAY TRIAL // Recently, Dolphin Browser announced the launch of a major update for their Dolphin Browser HD for devices running under Google's Android operating system, version 5.0, which came with a series of issues that the company tried to resolve in the future beta releases.
The new Dolphin Browser HD 5.0.6 Beta was made available for download with the same purpose in mind, so that users won't experience certain problems with the page loading in this browser.
According to the development team, some of the main fixes the new app flavor comes with are aimed at:
- Page loading related issues - Some Crash bugs - Save Image/Select Text issues for some devices - Pinch Zoom issues for some devices - Cookies issues when exit - Set Home Page related bugs (Settings-Dolphin Settings) - History Clear bug - Other tiny bugs. However, the new Dolphin Browser HD 5.0.6 Beta is not all about resolving issues, but it comes with a series of updated features into the mix as well.
The release notes show the following feature updates:
- Add the action to clear phone cache when users choose to Cache to SD - Adjust the action for Back to external link directly (Current market version will go back to the home page first rather than exit directly)
Although it includes all of these enhancements, the new version of the application comes with some issues as well, the development team notes.
Among the problems that were not resolved as of yet, the company notes Xmarks issues, Bookmarks widget issues, exit confirmation settings, a series of multi-touch issues on HTC Droid Eris, as well as some keyboard issues within the Facebook chat windows.
However, the company is set to release more updates for the browser in the near future, in an attempt to resolve these issues, as well as others more.
A series of other changes will also be added into the mix with future releases, such as bookmarks management design update, and some enhancements to the application's performance.
“We are sorry for the issues in the current market version. We have been working for days on these issues and we will offer a stable version later on the market to fix all these issues listed,” the company notes.
