Unlike simpler “cleaning” solutions, CleanMyMac combines features such as the ability to slim down universal binaries, delete unneeded languages, logs and caches, quick erase, application uninstallation, and the capability of fully erasing the trash left from buried applications. The main benefit of using CleanMyMac is that your Mac will work faster and smoother after running the tool. This happens because CleanMyMac removes stuff that, when loaded, eats up your system's resources.
Recently updated to version 1.3.0, CleanMyMac fixed some bugs found on CleanMyMac 1.2.0, while adding a few new features. “This update is recommended for everyone,” MacPaw says.
Changes include the Spanish localization (newly added), the improved cleaning Algorithm (now, CleanMyMac will clean everything in one separate thread), a fixed Tiger "Freeze" bug, and a fixed CleanMyMac crash while running remove. Although MacPaw doesn't mention this on the company's website, CleanMyMac supports Tiger as well.
