Yesterday we saw the latest Android 4.4.1 update arrive for the Nexus 7 2013 LTE version and we told you that the Wi-Fi build wasn’t long behind.

So now the OTA update for the Wi-Fi version of the second-gen Nexus 7 has been spotted, and you can grab the 52MB download right now.

You can either download the update to your computer or to your device and flash from recovery. If you go with the first option, you’ll need to have Android SDK installed and open up a command prompt window inside sdk/platform-tools.

Use “adb devices” to check if your device shows up. After this, you’ll need to type “adb reboot bootloade.” Once you’ve rebooted, use the power and volume buttons to boot into recovery (note that you’ll need to be rooted for this to work).

Go on stock recovery and scroll down until you see “apply update from adb.” Type from your computer “adb sideload <filename.zip>, and voila, you should be on Android 4.4.1 now. Also, your device should be rebooting.
