If your desktop computer system is built using one of those Radeon graphics cards on the market, you should know that AMD has just updated its driver support by introducing a new Catalyst software suite. Version 9.2 is now available for download and brings a number of changes, some of which will provide Radeon graphics card users with performance enhancements in various 3D gaming applications. The new suite of drivers also brings forth a new version of the company's HydraVision utility, with support for both Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.

According to the release notes of AMD's latest Catalyst suite of graphics card drivers, users of Radeon and some All-in-Wonder Radeon graphics cards, should see some performance increase in gaming applications such as Crysis on DirectX 10, Crysis Warhead on DirectX 10 and World in Conflict. With the new releases, the frame rates of these drivers should be up by 20%, 20% and 5%, respectively. This basically translates into a higher overall performance and a better end-user experience.

In addition to the performance improvements, the Catalyst Suite 9.2 drivers will also provide users with some resolved issues with a number of applications and Radeon graphics card models. This means that if you have also encountered some problems with your own Radeon graphics card, the new suite might just provide you with support and fix those issues, all the more reason to upgrade to the latest drivers.
