A new Catalyst Display Driver (version 11.10, WHQL) is not all that Advanced Micro Devices finished on the software front, as it is also offering a new version of OverDrive.

For those who don't know, AMD Overdrive is the company's software program that allows for overclocking and PC monitoring, among other things, directly from Windows.

The Sunnyvale, California-based company now has version 4.0.5 up for order (go download it form here).

It will make sure that APM (Advanced Power Management) is shut down whenever Turbo Core is turned off and will support multi-level Boost P-States.

Also, whenever a CPU core is running in boost P-States, the frequency will be displayed in red on the status page.

All the other monitoring and tweaking features continue to be available for owners of AMD platforms and chips, including FX units (4000, 6000 and 8000).
