Fixes issues related to certain recent games and extends Flash support

The time has come to update the graphics driver, provided one owns a product from Advanced Micro Devices' Radeon series of video boards that is.

Advanced Micro Devices released the Catalyst Display Driver 11.11 WHQL not too long ago.

For those who haven't downloaded it yet, don't hesitate to follow the links we included and get whatever version fits with the operating system.

The package doesn't really bring many frame rate improvements to games, or at least not significant enough for them to be included in the change log.

Then again, not many titles were released recently, so whatever optimizations could be done have probably been implemented in previous versions.

That said, what Advanced Micro Devices did list was the problem and bug fixes that Catalyst now offers.

Rage is, predictably enough, and fortunately, among the games that got attention.

We actually said this would happen last week and, true enough, AMD promises that textures and images will no longer be corrupted.

Another game listed in the log is Fary Cry 2, where bezel compensation should work properly now.

Furthermore, DC Universe Online won't end up hanging after selecting a character and entering the game and Homefront won't randomly crash on Crossfire anymore either.

Moving on to non-game matters, Catalyst 11.11 prevents black screens from appearing when extending displays.

It also enables Flash Player 11 on Radeon HD GPUs, including those from the E-Series and A-Series APUs. GPU Accelerated Stage 3D API and Stage 3D Application works in full now as well.

Unfortunately, not all known issues were addressed in this release. To get the full rundown, click on one of the links below.
