Samsung U740 will be available from now for all people living in Canada, at Bell. The phone is not like every other such device, but more of a special one, especially due to its double flip capabilities.

At first, Samsung U740 looks just like any other regular clamshell phone, with little more to offer. Still, the device manages to surprise through its dual flip performances, which reveals a QWERTY keypad. This makes it excellent for entering large amount of data, sending emails and even for simple navigation functions. Moreover, the phone also supports Windows Live instant messaging, which proves to be just the thing to match the easy to use keypad.

Other performances for this handset are not out of the ordinary, although Samsung U740 still holds on to its special character and high functionality. The landscape mode, when the phone is flipped proves to be excellent for image or video viewing, as well as text messaging.

The handset is equipped with a camera of only 1.3 megapixel, which proves to be a lower quality than the average performances. An upgrade at this level would be quite welcomed, as to truly make this device a media phone. Still, producers have preferred to keep it an affordable range rather than invest in upgrading the camera performances.

Samsung U740 also has Bluetooth connectivity and a microSD memory slot for making sure that the data storage space is enough for the user's needs. Moreover, the handset will also benefit from Bell's services and catalogue of full-track songs, as well as TV and Internet offers.

Samsung U740 is available from now on at Bell for the price of USD 180 with a three-year contract. Those who will decide to buy it before the end of August will also have to benefit from an additional offer of USD 30.
