14 DAY TRIAL // A Warcraft III custom made map, DotA aka Defense of the Ancients is a still one of the most popular ever made. To give players a better understanding of this complex and sometimes complicated game here is a hero guide.
The Treant Protector's main focus is helping allies and absorbing damage, although his Overgrowth spell is one of the most powerful offensive abilities in DotA. You can recruit him from the Sentinel's Strength tavern.
Let's learn a little more about this hero's fascinating story: "A treant of immense age and wisdom, Rooftrellen was merely a sapling during the invasion of the Burning Legion.
Having grown powerful over thousands of years, Rooftrellen has lent his considerable might to the Sentinel cause. An omnipresent force in the forest, he is capable using his power over the forest to hide his allies.
Rooftrellen is aided by the forest itself, providing him with a thick living armor of vines and entangling nearby foes in a deadly embrace, allowing Rooftrellen to pound his victims to dust with his massive gnarled limbs."
He has some awesome skills as you can see here:
- Nature's Guise (Shortkey T): Rooftrellen will change the appearance of a friendly unit so that it becomes invisible to all enemies for 15/30/45/60 seconds and grants a 10% movement speed bonus. If you go further away from a tree, the Guise is lost.
This spell can be used on units even if they are not close to a tree, but it will be removed almost instantly. Rooftrellen can also cast other spells while keeping hidden from enemy eyes.
- Leech Seed (Shortkey E): The Treant Protector will plant a seed in his enemy, making it slower by 24% and having its life force taken away over the next 3 seconds: 30/45/60/75 damage/heal per pulse. Nearby allied units will be healed by the same amount. This spell has 4 Pulses.
- Living Armor (Shortkey V): The Treant Protector will give allied heroes and structures a healing aura that will increase armor 1/2/3/4 and 2/3/4/5 regeneration. During the daytime, his power of nature is increased, causing the aura to extend globally. Regeneration on structures has a limited aura of 900.
- Overgrowth (Shortkey R): The hero can summons an overgrowth of branches and vines that will prevent all nearby enemies from moving or attacking for three seconds while dealing 70/100/130 damage to each.
You should pick this hero for two very good reasons: any team needs an AOE disabler and a tank is always welcomed! A must in his inventory must be the Refresher Orb. Build this item and your team will have a strong chance of winning!
