14 DAY TRIAL // DotA is short for Defense of the Ancients, one of the most popular custom made maps for Warcraft III. To give players a better understanding of this complex and sometimes complicated game here is a hero guide.
Barathrum the Spiritbreaker is a hero that can easily gank by himself, with the right items of course. You can recuit him from the Neutral Strength. Eventhough he's not very popular in League matches, he's very fun to play with.
The hero has a great past as you can see here: "An outcast of the Spirithoof clan, Barathrum retreated in shame to the Ethereal Plane, feeding off wandering souls to sustain himself, and wandered aimlessly for centuries, alone and miserable.
Found and recruited by the Lich King, Barathrum's uncanny speed and wraithlike powers have now been unleashed upon the Material Plane, his lantern able to project nether energy into enemies, sending them backwards with sudden force.
With the abilty to close the distance between himself and a target in seconds, Barathrum the Spiritbreaker is more than a match for anyone."
This hero is able to ruthlessly crush an enemy into a inert mass within seconds. He's got all the skills to deliver that insane damage per second. Learn more about his abilities and the rest is up to you.
- Charge of Darkness (Shortkey C) - When activated, Spiritbreaker will target an enemy and begin to charge through all objects. If an enemy comes into contact with the hero during the charge, it will trigger a greater bash.
Upon reaching its target, Barathrum will stun for 1.4/1.8/2.2/2.6 seconds. With each level the movement speed is increased: 425/500/575/650 ms.
- Empowering Haste (Shortkey H) - Will make Barathrum swing his weapon faster with higher movement speed 6/8/10/12%. This allowing him to deal extra damage 4/8/12/16%. The movement speed of nearby allied units is also increased.
- Greater Bash - Is one of the signature skills of Barathrum giving a 17% chance to bash enemies across the ground (140/180/220/260 knockback distance), doing 25/50/75/2100 more initial damage and damage as they skid. Every time this triggers Spiritbreaker will receive 15% movement speed bonus for 3 seconds.
- Nether Strike (Shortkey E) - Spiritbreaker will instantly move next to the target doing 100/200/300 extra magical damage while performing a greater bash hit in the process.
When equiped with the Scepter the cooldown is dramatically reduced while the casting range is improve. This is a great way to surprise your enemies and then rip them apart. Use it when the enemy thinks he's able to escape.
As far as items go, a couple of Bracers should be in the hero's inventory right from the beginning. Power Treads and Mask of Madness are a must for this hero, while in late-game Assault Cuirass and Heart of Tarrasque, make for perfect items.
