Dopod has just announced the C730 Smartphone, also known as the HTC Cavalier. The device has several unique capabilities that make it perfect for those that want everything from a phone, without having to make quality compromises.

This is a highly professional device designed especially for those that can appreciate the best technology. The C730 Smartphone sets performance over design and offers its users a high technology experience. Still, this handset does not have to compromise too much when it comes to design. The brown plastic case with matte-silver areas that surround the screen makes this phone look elegant in a business way. Even more, it measures only 13.5 mm in thickness and weighs 120 grams, which is quite impressive for a device of its capabilities.

Another appealing aspect about the appearance of C730 Smartphone is its 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The images and video recordings captured with the 2 megapixel camera look excellent on it. Furthermore, the phone is equipped with 3G, but that proves difficult to use, as the camera is not front-facing.

The performance list of the C730 smartphone is a large one. Most important, this handset runs with a 400 Mhz Samsung CPU and supports Windows mobile 6. Moreover, it has a 128MB built-in ROM and 64MB of RAM memory that ensures the fastest response to the user's commands.

The phone offers Bluetooth 2.0 and USB connectivity. One useful aspect about Dopod C730 is that it also comes with BlackBerry Connect v4.0. This means that its user will be able to access the most common BlackBerry services, such as "push"-based wireless email access, wireless email reconciliation and attachment viewing.

Dopod C730 will be available at the beginning of June 2007 for an estimated price of USD 590.
