A powerful spam campaign promoting the online prostitution is currently assaulting our inboxes, sending millions of messages to emails from all over the world. The spam messages are containing pictures and texts promoting an adult website that seems to offer online prostitution for numerous areas in the world. The message requires the reader to type the URL link in the address bar manually, because almost every antispam filter might block the malicious website. After the user enters the address, it is redirected to an adult website offering a technology to search for girl escorts in multiple areas.

"Image spam is often used for promoting things designed to improve your sex life - this latest campaign goes a step further than the usual emails offering drugs and medication, all of which presuppose that the recipient has a way of testing them. While there's nothing malicious about the emails or the website, the vast majority of computer users will find this type of content totally inappropriate and offensive, and must look to anti-spam solutions if they want such filth eradicated from their inboxes," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos, according to a press release published by the company.

At this time, there is no official solution to avoid these spam messages but you're advised to refuse opening unknown emails or type the address mentioned in the text. As you know, the spam emails are often used to promote all kinds of things from medicines such as Viagra to watches or other services. This time, the unwanted messages are offering a different type of service that might attract some users' attention. According to the security company, the number of spam messages sent in 2007 is almost double than last year, the email owners being completely vulnerable to malicious attempts as long as they aren't using a powerful filter to block them.
