14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, a rather worrying report came out in the press, saying Christina Aguilera had been rushed to the emergency room with suspicious-looking injuries only days before she filed for divorce from Jordan Bratman.
The decision to go their separate ways may have been prompted by several factors, but domestic violence was certainly not among them, friends of the star are telling the media, as cited by E! Online.
Christina’s injuries had been caused, as odd as that may sound to skeptics, by a simple fall – and Jordan had nothing to do with it, her friends insist.
“Reports surfaced earlier this week hinting that there may have been a physical altercation between Xtina and estranged husband Jordan Bratman the day she filed for divorce,” E! says.
“She was spotted with a bruised lip that very same day, while visiting a pumpkin patch with son Max,” the e-zine also notes.
“However, a source close to the couple confirms there was no violence. ‘She fell,’ the source said. ‘It was a simple fall, nothing else’,” the same media outlet writes.
As we also informed you the other day, while the publication reporting on Christina’s visit to the hospital said nothing about her injuries being a result of domestic abuse, the implication was definitely that they were.
Christina, it seems, took a very hard fall, which left her with a busted lip that required several stitches and many bruises on her body, Radar Online learned.
The same e-zine noted that, when asked about what happened to her, husband Jordan told nurses she had fallen, but would not offer more details.
“Christina was bleeding from her mouth and had a bit of a busted lip. Jordan told the nurses she had fallen down,” an unnamed source told Radar.
“Shortly after they arrived to Cedars, Christina’s ‘private surgeon’ arrived to put a few stitches in her lip,” the spy added of the singer’s injuries, who was also sporting “bumps and red bruises.”
According to the same insider, after she had her lip stitched, Christina was sent home. Only a few days later, she filed divorce papers.
