One of the fastest browsers for Android devices, Dolphin Browser has just received a major update that bumps it to version 9.0.0.

As with all major updates, this one brings lots of new feature and improvements to Android users. The most important seems to be full compatibility with Dolphin Jetpack, a new add-on launched by Dolphin Browser team.

According to developers, “Dolphin Jetpack is an improved webkit version with extensive canvas/GPU/JavaScript enhancement and behind-the-scenes technology, which makes Dolphin Browser the highest performing HTML5 browser according to a number of tests and benchmarks.”

Dolphin Jetpack 1.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3.3 and up. Check it out here.

Back on Dolphin Browser 9.0.0, it looks like there’s a new feature called Network Diagnosis, which will help users solve their network connection problems.

In addition, Dolphin Sonar add-on is now even easier to use and more user friendly. With the Night Mode, users will be able to easily dim their Android devices’ screens to lower brightness level when browsing at night.

Last but not least, Dolphin Connect provides users with the option to sync their data only when connected to Wi-Fi. Aside from these changes, the latest update includes lots of stability and performance improvements.

We recommend those who wish to use Dolphin Browser for Android as their default browser to install some of the add-ons launched by developers: Dolphin Webzine, Dolphin Alexa Rank, Password Manager Pro, Box for Dolphin, PDF Viewer for Dolphin, Dolphin Translate, Bookmarks Widget, Dolphin Reader, Google Reader Notifier, Softpedia.com RSS and many more.

Dolphin Browser 9.0.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0.1 and up. Check it out here.
