The popular massively multiplayer online game Dofus is celebrating its 10th birthday this year and today marks its first major content update for 2014.

The new theme of the year is represented by the Divine Dimensions, shared by both Dofus and Wakfu, and the feature will be at the heart of all upcoming updates.

Divine Dimensions were private spaces reserved to gods and their most deserving followers, at origin. But now they are open for every adventurer of the World of Twelve to access, but in order to be able to do so, they must first follow the clues leading to the portal that will transport them into a divine dimension.

Adventurers should pay heed, as, in the world of Dofus, the location of the portal changes regularly. The new areas offer players a veritable challenge, through the new monster wave system utilized by the dungeons.

The monster wave is a new combat system which players will have to overcome in the dungeons of the divine dimensions. Gamers will no longer progress through several rooms within a dungeon, getting a break after each fight, but instead will have to continuously fight steady waves of monsters, with no more downtime and no more resting and healing.

Additionally, a new combat modifier is applied to each fight within the dimension, conferring both buffs and debuffs, and other surprising survival constraints will also factor in.

The first of the Divine Dimensions is Enurado, a dimension created and ruled by the god Enutrof, only one of the many hiding places where the Miser hoards and hides his treasures.

Enurado will be the first divine dimension that players will be able to visit, sent there by the Order Errant in order to retrieve a magic ore, a substance charged with untold divine energies.

Enurado contains 3 dungeons, for levels 100, 150 and 200, a new line of quests, new combat modifications which will change regularly, as well as the new monster waves mode.

Players will come face to face with 3 bosses, one for each type of creature present in the dimension, as well as the Enutrof god himself, in the form of a gigantic chest-dragon.

The features in the update do not stop here, as the opening of the first portal was met with unforeseen consequences in the World of Twelve, and countless treasures have been hidden in every corner of the world.

Thankfully, by using magic maps and clues, adventurers will be able to go look for them, and after finding their exact location, will have to do battle in order to stake their claim.
