High-end bass reproduction from new subwoofer series

Still, I know no one to have dealt with the Hemp series loudspeakers from Omega to tell me how it feels; ah, sorry, how they sound like. Nevertheless, if they're still making these speakers with cones made from hemp, it means that there are people buying them...and since they're also in the high-end class (meaning you just don't buy one every month), things should be looked at with respect.[admark=1]

Omega have been around in the high-end loudspeakers market for quite a time already and they've earned a good name in the industry. Even though they've manufactured full-range speakers mostly, it's now time to introduce a new member of the family: the DeepHemp subwoofer.

Omega DeepHemp promises a very fast-attack performance with both your movies and music tracks, as it has been critically engineered to comply with all the demands of a discerning audio enthusiast. Not only has it been voiced for perfect integration with all Omega loudspeakers but it can also be used with any other units in perfect safety, delivering the same high-quality response.

The cabinet of this new subwoofer sports a classic design that will effortlessly match with pretty much any room decors and comes in a multitude of premium finishes as well as in custom veneers. The architecture Omega went for is a sealed one, with multi-layer wood panels for perfect imperviousness to vibrations and allowing a tight and contoured bass response down to 26Hz. The 8" Hemp woofer has a down-firing positioning and it will use the floor as dispersion element, dramatically helped by the spiked feet allowing for a 360-degree sound field.

Its internal sealed amplifier can blast as much as 220W and has gain and phase controls for better room adjustment. The Omega DeepHemp can be yours for $1,100 if bought individually, or for $900 when a pair of Omega speakers are also purchased.
