And video games are, generally, Satan's work. Ha!

There are game-related research results that drive me completely mad and such insane things that make me laugh all day. Dr. Pat Holliday's latest book and "discoveries" on video games are, fortunately, part of the latter category. And, trust me, this is the craziest stuff you've ever heard since anti-games materials started to hit the web.

So, this Dr. Pat Holliday has released a new book in which she claims (among many other things) that Left Behind: Eternal Forces, the game released in 2006 steals the minds and souls of kids, because it "releases children under the influence of subliminal mind control and turning them into puppets." She continues, saying that "The computer is one of the most mind-capturing instruments ever invented. It can be used for good but Satan's agents are certainly taking advantage of it for evil." Satan and nothing else! His agents! Oh, my God, this is absolutely great. And if you think (or hope) that's all, Dr. Pat Holliday has a lot more, "Left Behind video games have absolutely nothing to do with the Bible or Jesus. The metaphysical capture of the souls and minds of the youth are secret goals to turn them to another gospel, another spirit and another Jesus capture them into global citizens. Figments of the imagination and children's false religious impressions are escalating because our Christian churches and many spiritual leaders are sleeping."

Yeah, that's exactly what gamers need now: the church interfering and fighting against video games. Really, now, doesn't anybody in this world ever watch TV or a movie at the cinema? The stuff you can see there is waaaay more hardcore than video games. So, please, give us a break! Uhm... but no, she won't.

"The modern child's world is being barraged with occult oriented books, rock records, pornographic magazines and images of animals and people, ungodly cartoon tapes, witchcraft satanic computer games and children's toys and Disney World and Warner fantasy movies that have become evangelistic tools for Christian children," Dr. Holliday wrote. "Their minds are jam-packed with violence, monsters, fantasies, demons, witches, wizards, robots, zombies like creatures and devils of all shapes and forms."

"Whichcraft satanic computer games," in case you've missed it. And the Disney characters are so demonic! I always though that Mikey Mouse looks like a demon from hell... oh, no! Anyway, as I've said, I found this attention seeking with game-blaming hilarious. But that's from a guy who played video games for so long that definitely has no soul or mind. And other stuff she said.

As a side note: for those of you who watched The Mist... - doesn't Dr. Pat Holliday resemble a character you saw there? I won't name it, but if you saw the movie, you sure know who I'm talking about.
