Right to left reading? My head hurts?

The blogging community is one of the most important for Google as they provide a lot of traffic going the Mountain View based company's way and a lot of ad exposure to the Internet users. By providing a "home" for the bloggers with creating? erm? Blogger, the Internet company has in fact extended its reputation of openness over the service. The result was that it is wildly popular and there's nothing more to be said about it, except for the similarity to the classical sayings "what is born a cat will always eat mice" and "like father like son".

I said dizzying and mentioned right-to-left reading because the addition is that of three more languages using this style: Arabic, Hebrew and Persian. That's pretty weird to look at and it takes a while to get used to because they had to flip around the entire interface in order to provide users with a genuine experience. In case you were waiting for this like as for the Second Coming (a little religious humor there) you'll be happy to find out that you only have to select your language in the menu on the Dashboard once and afterwards all the entries will be defaulted to using it.

That feature also works retrospectively, if you want to turn your English written blog into one of the three you can go to the Settings tab and from there surf to Formatting and select your language of choice. Everything will be affected by your decision, as shown in the second image on the left, to look as if that's how it was originally written.

On related side news, last afternoon the blogging service went through some unannounced and unexplained to this moment downtime. Were they just bringing the new additions online and tweaking them? Could be, but a notice would've been most welcomed.
