14 DAY TRIAL // For the past couple of weeks or so, there’s been a lot of speculation (more than usual, that is) on the state of the marriage of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. Insiders are now saying that divorce is imminent because he refuses to get treatment for his alleged drug problem.
Word has it that Lamar, though an NFL player who has to submit to several mandatory and random drug tests, has been addicted to crack cocaine for the past 2 years.
Things got really out of control in recent months, which is when Khloe, his wife, warned him repeatedly that she’d walk out of his life if he didn’t go to rehab to get help.
“Khloe gave Lamar an ultimatum: if he didn’t get help, she’d end the marriage. So far, he’s ignoring her. The situation can still turn around, but at this point, divorce seems imminent,” an insider says for E! News.
Since she found out about his addiction, Khloe has been trying to convince Lamar on her own that he needed help. Insiders claim that she even hid her problems from her family.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag, everyone’s waiting to see what she’ll decide.
“Her family is being as supportive as possible. They don’t want to argue with her or make her even more upset. They know she’s already heartbroken. They don’t want to make things harder on her,” the insider continues for the same media outlet.
“At the end of the day, whatever she decides to do, they’ll go along with it,” adds the tipster.
The other day, paparazzi caught up with Lamar on a sushi run and, for the first time since the scandal, he addressed the addiction allegations.
He didn’t have a crack cocaine problem and, just the same, marital issues with Khloe, he told photographers flashing a confident grin and, perhaps more importantly, his wedding band.
