The $1 million Kickstarter project developed by Larian Studios, creators of Divine Divinity franchise, has just made its debut on Steam. The next installment in the Divine Divinity series is called Divinity: Original Sin and offers more than 50 hours of pure RPG.

This is not an action RPG in the Torchlight/Diablo genre, as Divinity: Original Sin allows players to interact with almost anything in the environments and features turn-based combat.

Larian Studios has decided to offer the game on Steam Early Access “because the advantages seem to outweigh the disadvantages.” For more on this check out Swen Vincke's blog post.

Anyway, Divinity: Original Sin is now available on Steam Early Access for 40 EUR/USD. Obviously, you will also receive the final version of the game when it's released.

There's also a Co-Op Deluxe Pack version that costs 60 EUR/USD and includes two copies of Divinity: Original Sin for cooperative play, and a double pack of Divine Divinity + Beyond Divinity.

Apart from supporting Larian, those who decided to pay for Early Access, will get access to the alpha version of the game which contains around 15 hours.

Keep in mind though that the game is “still rough around the edges and that certain features are missing. New features and improvements will be added regularly.”

In addition, you will also be able to play co-op with a friend, thus taking decisions together (or disagree entirely), as interactions and relationship between partners influence the game.

It's also worth mentioning the Early Access version of Divinity: Original Sin is only available in English, but the final build will also feature French, German, Russian and Polish languages.

As mentioned earlier this is an unfinished product, so if you're not into testing stuff it's better to purchase it now and play it when it's released.
