Focus Home Interactive has announced that it will release Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga on the PC and the Xbox 360, the most recent role playing game to come from Larian Studios. This package will contain the original title, Divinity II - Ego Draconis, with updated visuals and the first expansion, Flames of Vengeance.

The fresh content will be comprised of over 35 new quests, new creatures and items scattered all over the game's world. This title will also benefit from the graphical update of Ego Draconis and the developers are promising that the already impressive looking title will have even more detail this time around. Flames of Vengeance is supposed to provide and ending to Ego Draconis, as those who have played through the original know that it was quite lackluster in that respect.

Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga boasts 60 hours of gameplay and over 180 quests, looking like it will give European RPG fans something to look up for in October when the collection launches. Gamespot reports that Focus Home Interactive has not given any information yet about a release date in North America. The Flames of Vengeance add-on will also be available as downloadable content only on the PC at the moment.

This is the sequel to the mildly successful Divine Divinity. Ego Draconis was released on the 24th of July 2009 and, while it was not a contender for the role playing game of the year, it proved to be a decent experience, as you can see from our review. Fans of the Divinity franchise should get their hopes up, as this re-release seems to be looking to address exactly the issues that plagued the original version by providing better graphics and a real ending to its narrative.
