Back in 2002 an action RPG with a great title was launched, Divine Divinity, and it managed to win fans' hearts, even though the Diablo II LoD hype was still pretty high. And that, you can imagine, is a great achievement. However, there is one big surprise related to this title: the fact that it got no sequel until now. But things are going to change, since dtp Entertainment just announced Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis for Xbox 360 consoles and PC systems, coming in the second quarter of 2009.

The sequel will take you once again to Rivellon, a timeless world full of magic and mystic elements - a quite wonderful place in the past, but now ravaged by apocalyptic wars. Even though the recently installed peace was just beginning to give back hope to the inhabitants, the demon returns and once again brings horror to the lands.

You will begin your quest as a Dragon Slayer, a hunter who travels the countryside determined to rid the lands of the mighty dragons. Along the way you will develop new skills and abilities and keep evolving until you reach the rank of a legendary Dragon Lord. You will get the chance to use tons of items that work as they are or combined with others for enhanced abilities, you will meet and fight hosts of enemy monsters and, overall, you will enjoy the multitude of fun hours delivered by Divinity 2.

Of course, your quest of saving the lands of Rivellon and defeating the demon will not be an easy one, since you will have to face some of the toughest enemies ever, each with specific attacks and combat abilities. You will have to plan every move and use all the potions available in order to succeed. And we all know that all these things are exactly what made the original title such an appreciated one - that's why we have great hopes for Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis. At least this time the game will be out before Diablo.
