14 DAY TRIAL // Disney has recently announced that Tapulous has been integrated into the rest of the company, making the prominent iOS developer a part of its Disney Mobile division.
The brainchild of the deal (or at least the first of many to come) is Katy Perry Revenge.
A Tap Tap Revenge-style game, Katy Perry Revenge is a game built specifically for Katy Perry songs.
“The party has landed! Introducing KATY PERRY REVENGE, the smash new app from the makers of Tap Tap Revenge, the #1 most-downloaded music game for the iPhone/iPod Touch,” reads an introduction by Tapulous.
The iTunes App Store is yet to list Disney as the publisher, rather than Tapulous.
“Tap the targets flying down your touchscreen to the beats of her biggest hits, and soak in the gorgeous themes and graphics inspired by the albums, videos, fashion, and fun of Miss Katy herself!”, the app’s description goes.
Katy Perry Revenge includes playable versions of the singer’s hit songs, such as I Kissed A Girl; Hot n Cold; California Gurls; Waking Up In Vegas; and Teenage Dream.
Buyers of the app gain access to an exclusive VIP Katy Perry chat room, where they connect with other fans, see pictures of Katy, “and enjoy additional extra content,” Tapulous explains..
“So amazing, you’ll want to kiss this app. And you’ll definitely like it!”, the developer believes.
Katy Perry Revenge actually only the latest special release version in the Tap Tap Revenge series.
Other titles in the series include Nirvana Revenge, Kings of Leon Revenge, Lady Gaga Revenge, and Metallica Revenge.
The company has updated the “about us” on the Tapulous.com site to add that “Tapulous is now a part of Disney Interactive Media Group and is celebrating some very big changes.
“We are proud to be one of the newest members of the Disney family and are gearing up for some very exciting things in the coming year,” the developer says.
“At Tapulous, we believe mobile apps are the next frontier and we look forward to continuing to be a leader in mobile gaming development,” Tapulous concludes.
