The team at Arkane Studios working on Dishonored is getting ready to launch a new downloadable content pack called Brigmore Witches and one developer believes that fans of the game will have a different opinion of Daud after playing through the new chapter.

Ricardo Bare, a designer working on the DLC, tells VG247 that, “it’s a theme of the game overall because there are some people in the world of Dishonored that are marked by the Outsider. He’s interested in them because they have this effect on history that other people don’t, and because they have great power. Daud is one of these people.”

Gamers found out more about the assassin adversary of Corvo during the first content pack for Dishonored, The Knife of Dunwall, and the second installment is designed to give players even more info about the character.

In order to stop the witches, the assassin will have to travel to new areas of the game world and Arkane is ready to take players beyond the walls of the city for the first time.

Bare adds, “it’s an old, rotting estate that is a day or two up-river from the city. The team is really excited about this environment because it’s beautiful and it’s different, this old rotting estate on the riverside that’s half-dunked in a swamp, and you get to explore this abandoned, broken-down manor while battling Delilah.”

Arkane wants to also up the difficulty in Brigmore Witches and that means facing enemies that are able to move faster and with greater agility than any other opponent.

The witches can also create Blood Brier tentacles in order to stop Daud from attacking them and to make him vulnerable.

Brigmore Witches for Dishonored is set to arrive on August 14 on the PC, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
