Video game developer Arkane and publisher Bethesda are announcing that they are planning to launch a new installment in the Dishonored series, with gamers now able to play as either the protagonist of the original game or an entirely new character.

The female assassin is named Emily Kaldwin, and she will have access to an entirely new set of powers that give gamers even more options when it comes to each challenge they need to tackle.

Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio, the two leaders of the development team, quickly talked about the history of the Dishonored franchise and about the core elements that dominated its design.

The sequel is designed to take all the ideas that the player community loved in the original and expand upon them in interesting ways.

Dishonored 2 will allow gamers to keep their weapons sheathed and to get through the entire experience without killing anyone, as long as they carefully use their stealth options and make the right choices.

The entire action will take place in a new city called Karnaca, and the design of the world, while using many of the elements of the first title in the series, seems more colonial.

The official trailer does hint at a complex story, but limited info was offered during the E3 2015 press conference.

Dishonored is also getting a Complete Edition

The development team at Arkane is also ready to announce that they are planning to deliver a new version of the original title on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

The Complete Edition of Dishonored will introduce all the downloadable content ever launched for the title and is designed to arrive during the fall of this year.

The graphics and the gameplay will be updated in order to take advantage of the power of the new gaming consoles.

No official date was offered for the coming package.

The sequel is also developed with the new home consoles in mind and the demo offered by the team at Arkane looks impressive, with a lot of detail for both the environment and the characters.

Dishonored 2 is set to arrive on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, but no official launch window has been mentioned so far.
