Digital Storm, a boutique PC builder best known for its gaming systems, has just announced the launch of the company's first pre-built desktop series, the Digital Storm ODE which is powered by a water-cooled Intel Core i7-2600K processor.

The ODE is available in four different configurations, but all of these are based on the same Core i7 Intel Sandy Bridge processor that can be overclocked up to 5GHz, depending on the version chosen by the customer.

All four systems are equipped with 8GB of DDR3-1600MHz memory manufactured by Corsair and the same company also builds the liquid cooling systems employed in the ODE desktops.

Graphics is provided by Nvidia, and ranges from a single GTX 570 graphics card to a dual GTX 570 SLI setup in the ODE Ultimate.

The rest of the configuration includes a 1TB Western Digital hard drive, which is paired with an Intel 320-series SSD in the faster models, a DVD burner or a Blu-ray combo optical drive and a Corsair 750W or 850W power supply unit.

All of these are installed inside the recently released Corsair 600T White Graphite chassis.

“If ever there was an indictment against PC gaming, it’s that it can be an expensive passion, that’s why most gamers build their own rigs,” said Rajeev Kuruppu, Digital Storm’s director of product development.

Digital Storm has never liked this status quo, so we set out to create a machine that would deliver the extreme performance PC gamers want without breaking the bank. That is how the ODE was born,” concluded Digital Storm’s representative.

The Digital Storm ODE gaming rigs are available for purchase as we speak from the company's website and pricing starts at $1,499. The most expensive system, the ODE Ultimate, is priced at $2,499.
